Hello June

Finished out May with a horseback ride just six minutes from home.  It was Emily and Chad's Christmas present to Jared and me.  I am a little tired and sore, but my broken toe did just fine, and the weather was lovely and the animals quite interesting.  Anne went to Mass with her aunt and uncle and then hung out at home with them.

Tomorrow begins June.

Jared will be gone three of the June weeks for musical events in the states of Illinois and Tennessee.

Anne and I will take a day trip to Vancouver, BC to visit Amy on her layover.

Jared and Anne and I will go to southern Washington for a cousin's wedding.

All three of us will also fly to southern California for Aunt Sara's wedding.

I will be teaching most of my twenty-two students here and on Fox Island, and tag-team on our Covington group classes.

I will also be recording three fiddle tracks for a CD for a non-profit.  Don't know what it is exactly - the recording engineer asked me, as he is the father of one of my students.

Another of my students will be presenting her senior recital.  All I have to do is show up and enjoy!

Also, I'll be doing the cooking and all of the cleaning.  I usually do some of the cleaning and none of the cooking.  Maybe this will be a good time for me to look through my bag of gift cards and see what restaurants are awaiting my visit...  ;-)

No hiking or running.  But I think I'll be back to recreational walking pretty well soon.  I strolled a mile or so twice yesterday in flip flops.

I think that will be enough for the month.

Roses

Last Saturday we went to the rose garden in Newberg, Oregon with Jared's parents.  The roses were beautiful to look at, but even better to smell.  I wish I could have several of the more fragrant varieties growing in my living room.  There is nothing like their exotic scent, along with those smooth and gentle petals brushing your face.

What follows is an obscene number of photographs of flowers.
