- We saw the sun for the first time in many days today, which was lovely, and it also meant Rainier was visible from the kitchen window.
- Jared and I have gotten back to working on our memory verses during our walks together, which is really edifying.
- Roy is making green banana ceviche for dinner.
- My two little students who are typically pretty wild were very organized today and payed attention for the whole lesson. Their mother has been striving to help them have a more structured daily practice time this past week, and it paid off.
- My two little charges were endlessly arguing over Super Mario Wii this morning and shortly after I suggested I could turn it off so they could find something else more agreeable to do, the younger one went over and hugged his brother, and then they figured out how to agree for several minutes.
- I ate two oranges at lunch, and they were very fresh.
- Black Bean was all curled up on me when my alarm went off this morning.
- Jared washed the dishes and vacuumed this morning, as he has been doing regularly on days when we have students coming.
- He also has been making excellent spinach salad for dinner lately, which involves lime juice. Also, he's been cooking dinner in its entirety most nights.
- I talked on the phone yesterday with two friends whom I hadn't spoken with in quite a while.
- The medical social worker is coming by after work tomorrow to help me with the health insurance stuff. So generous of her!
- My students have been learning a lot this week from watching the videos of their recital performance they did last Sunday.
- Roy now knows what a minor scale is and what the three different versions are, and he's practicing four of them for his lesson tomorrow.
- Jared and I are going to a Suzuki teacher coffee gathering tomorrow morning in north Seattle, and it will be a fun field trip.
- Jared and I have two unpaid gigs coming up playing in church services nearby, and it will be fun to contribute to some different worship experiences and maybe meet some people (and maybe entice some new students.)
- I'm planning to go to a free concert by a Christian singer-songwriter on Saturday night, and I don't think I've ever done something quite like that before.
- Nutmeg has been sitting on my lap purring pretty much every day.
- My two small charges have been on time to school every day this week, because I pushed back their get-ready time by 25 minutes. Meaning, I don't end up staying late at work any more. Yay!
