It seemed like a real-life analogy to trusting God. Though we may not know the way, he has already given ample evidence of his supreme love for us on the cross, and though dangers may assail us, he has promised to bring us safely to our eternal home.

Trust
I went zip-lining with my dad in the Texas Hill Country a couple of weeks ago. Up in the trees on wires and unfenced platforms, I felt perfectly safe and serene. It's because the guides were so organized, methodical, and trustworthy, double checking their every move. They gave us just enough information to know what we needed to do, but they did all the "heavy lifting" so to speak, and stayed right where they could help us at all times. Because I was able to trust them completely, there was no reason to feel uncomfortable in places which could have been dangerous without them and their equipment.
It seemed like a real-life analogy to trusting God. Though we may not know the way, he has already given ample evidence of his supreme love for us on the cross, and though dangers may assail us, he has promised to bring us safely to our eternal home.
