I posted something earlier this evening, and then thought better of it. So I ran back and deleted my post, but not before six people saw it. Anyway, although everything I wrote was true, I felt I was not sufficiently discreet. So if you're one of those six, I apologize, and you can forget the details of what you read.
If you aren't one of the six, then here's the real post.
I'm worried about a neighbor family whom I see regularly and converse with, and whose son Anne likes to play with. I learned this evening that they have run into some recent and serious trouble with the immigration status of their one immediate family member who is not a US citizen. They have until July 10th to get this legally resolved. Thankfully they were able to get that family member released from detention. The family has a lawyer, and I'm hoping that she or he is gold.
The upshot is, I promised to pray for this family that they will not get ripped apart by the deportation which has been threatened, and that they'll have some peace when they try to sleep at night until this gets resolved.
